Women In Relocation hold Fourth Annual Spring Event!
New York, NY, April 8, 2010: Women in Relocation, a New York
City-based national organization of relocation professionals, held their 4th Annual Spring Event on Wednesday, April 7th 2010. Held at Brown Harris
Stevens’ flagship office at 445 Park Avenue, New York City, members came from as far away as Seattle and Chicago especially to attend.
Dedicated to providing a forum to meet and network with colleagues, Women in Relocation is committed to making a positive contribution to local real estate communities.
This year the group again chose “The Bridge Fund of Westchester and New York”, www.thebridgefund.org, whose mission is to assist vulnerable, working individuals and families threatened with the loss of their housing. When
told that the group would have their support again this year, Lisa Buck, director the “The Bridge Fund of Westchester”
said, “We are extremely grateful and honored that Women in Relocation has chosen to support us once again this year. You touched the lives and made a difference
for hard-working families last year and we are very much looking forward to working with you again.”
In 2009, “The Bridge Fund of Westchester County” was able to close 312 cases assisting
698 individuals including 319 children. Preventing 262 evictions, 5 foreclosures and assisting 45 families move to affordable
house, the group truly is amazing. They also provided 248 families and individuals with financial literacy workshops
in six Westchester communities.
Women
in Relocation’s goal this year is for one hundred percent participation
of all members to assist with donations in 2010. They hope to expand their reach to members of different alliances they
all have, such as TRS Relocation Services, Luxury Real Estate, and Leading Real Estate Companies of the World. Also
included in their plans is maximizing the social networking groups and putting links on their website, www.womeninrelo.com to encourage more cooperation with efforts to raise as much money as possible for the groups they choose to support.
